With the help of ultrasound equipment, it is convenient not only to make a diagnosis but also to use it for monitoring during surgical interventions and therapeutic procedures.
Ultrasound scanners have probes with different scanning frequencies. Ultrasound waves are capable of penetrating to
different depths, which depends on the frequency. For example, a frequency of 2.5 MHz is used to examine deep organs, 3.5 MHz in cardiological examinations, and up to 7.5 MHz when diagnosing superficial organs.
Probes can be:
In addition, the medical arsenal includes pencil, needle, matrix, laparoscopic, and videoendoscopic scanners, as well as models that transmit images in 3D and 4D as an organ slice in a specific area.
Ultrasound machines can differ by the type of ultrasound transducer — linear, sector, phased array, and convex type. Also, they can have different monitor sizes, several different types of probes simultaneously, and in some models, there is the possibility of connecting additional probes.
